Frequently asked question · Optimize Content for AI

Will engines cite content that was drafted by AI?

Engines cite pages that answer the question with specifics they can trace, and they do not check who typed it. What they will not cite is the bulk-generated page that says nothing, however it was written, and that is the failure mode we see most. Our drafts are aimed at one prompt, built from what the current answers cite and miss, and every claim carries its source. A person approves, revises, or rejects each one before it goes anywhere, and on Managed GEO our editors add the first-hand detail only your business has.

What the engines are looking at

An engine picking sources for an answer looks at whether it could fetch the page, whether the page answers the question early and specifically, and whether the facts can be traced somewhere. It has no way to know who typed the words and shows no sign of trying. What it passes over is the page with nothing to quote: the topic introduced at length, the facts absent, the same paragraph that appears on a hundred other sites. Bulk generation produces that page faster than a person could, which is why it is the failure we see most, but a person writing to a keyword brief produces it too.

How our drafts are built

A content routine starts from the tracking. It picks the weakest of the prompts you are losing, reads the current answers on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, and Google AI Mode along with the sources they cite, and drafts one article aimed at being the cited source for that prompt. The draft puts the answer in the first paragraph, carries a source on every claim, ends with a short FAQ, and is written in the brand voice set for it. It is one article at a time, for one prompt, and never a batch.

What a person does with it

Nothing publishes itself. A person approves the draft, revises it with an instruction, or rejects it with a reason. On Managed GEO that person is one of our editors, who adds the detail only your business has: the real price, the actual timeline, the thing your customers ask that nobody has written down. On GEO Consulting and Trends the draft lands in your editors' queue, and the same standard becomes the editorial standard your writers work to.
