Frequently asked question · Prompt Tracking
Can I add my own prompts?
Yes. Add one in the app, or through the MCP server if your team uses AI agents, set its country, and give it tags and a persona. Active prompts count against your workspace’s allowance; archived prompts do not. Keep it unbranded: a prompt that names you cannot fail to mention you, so it cannot measure anything.
What a good prompt looks like
Write it the way a buyer would type it: "best accounting software for a two-person consultancy", not "is our product any good". Any brand can then appear in the answer, or fail to, and that gap is what the platform measures. Give it the country your buyers are in, because the same question gets different answers in different markets, and the country is fixed once the prompt has run.
Tags and a persona are optional but worth setting on day one. The reports filter by both, so a prompt tagged by product line or assigned to an audience segment shows up in the right slice of the monthly report instead of the general pile.
Adding it from the app or from an agent
In the app, a new prompt is a form: text, country, tags, persona. If your team already works through AI agents, the MCP server exposes the same operation, so an agent can add a prompt during a research session without anyone opening the app. Either way, a person on our side reviews it before it is tracked, the same as the prompts we propose.
Allowance and archiving
Your workspace has an allowance of active prompts. Archived prompts do not count against it, and they keep their history, so archiving a question that has stopped mattering frees the slot without losing the series. A prompt that has already run is replaced rather than edited: the original is archived and a successor starts fresh with the same tags and persona.
