What sources do AI engines trust, and are we one of them?

We track every domain and page the engines cite in your category, including Reddit, YouTube, review sites, and the press. Then we go and build your presence where it counts, as part of the engagement itself.

How we find out

There is no published list of the sources an engine trusts, but the answers reveal it. Every time we put one of your buyers' questions to ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Claude, Grok, or Google AI Overviews, the answer names brands and cites pages. We keep every answer with its sources, so after a few weeks of daily runs the pattern in your category is plain: which domains keep coming back, which pages on them, and which engine leans on which.

The list is rarely what a brand expects. Alongside the press and the review sites, Reddit threads and YouTube videos show up as cited sources, and often the citation is a page nobody in your company has ever read.

Whether you are on it

The same runs answer the second half of the question. Your domain either appears among the cited sources for a question or it does not, and we map that prompt by prompt against the competitors the engines name. That gives you two lists: the sources being cited instead of you, and the questions where a trusted source already mentions you but the engine is not picking it up.

What we do about it

Building your presence on those sources is part of the engagement, not a recommendation we hand back. Where the trusted source is your own site, we fix and write the pages. Where it is somewhere else, we work on getting you named there. And because sources gain and lose citations over time, we keep watching the list and tell you when it shifts.
