Does getting mentioned by one engine mean the others will follow?

Why the engines disagree

Each engine builds its answer from the pages it retrieves and trusts for that exact question, and the five do not retrieve the same pages. One leans on a Reddit thread and two review sites for your category; another leans on a directory and a YouTube video. Their indexes differ, their recrawl schedules differ, and how much each one looks up live against what it already holds differs too. A brand can be named in most Perplexity answers and absent from Gemini for the same prompt, in the same market, on the same day.

That is not a bug you fix once. It is the reason the prompts run every day on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, and Google AI Mode, and the reason mention rate, share of voice, and position score are reported per engine and per market rather than as one number.

What travels between engines

The site fixes travel. Once the GEO audit's list is shipped, every crawler that was blocked is let in, every page that arrived by script is server-rendered, and every template states plainly what you sell, for whom, where, and at what price. Every engine reads the same fixed site, so that work helps everywhere at once, though each engine picks it up on its own schedule.

The pages travel too, more slowly. A comparison or buying guide that answers the question in its first paragraph has to be found and read before an engine quotes it, and each engine finds it when it finds it.

What tends to stay put

The source work lands unevenly. A completed review profile moves the engine that leans on that review site; an answered thread moves the one that cites Reddit. The cited-domains table shows which sources each engine favours for your prompts, so the roadmap can say which piece of the work is aimed at which engine. The daily runs then show where each piece landed, and the monthly movers say which prompts, competitors, and domains gained or lost on each one.
