Frequently asked question · Local Businesses

What actually changes on my website?

Technical fixes first: crawler access, text that is in the page rather than loaded by scripts, and the files AI engines read to find their way around your site. Then content: service and location pages rewritten to say what you do, where, and for whom, plus new pages that answer the questions people in your area ask. We make the changes on your site ourselves, so the to-do list stays with us.

The technical pass

The free audit runs 21 checks on your site, and the first fixes come straight off the failed rows. If your robots.txt shuts out any of the 20 AI crawlers we track, we open it. If your text is drawn in by scripts after the page loads, we move it into the page itself, since an engine reads the raw HTML. Then the files an engine reads before it reads you: a sitemap that lists your pages, structured data that says what each page is, and an llms.txt at the root. We ship those changes to your home, service, and location pages ourselves, then re-run the audit so you have a before-and-after score rather than a PDF of recommendations.

The content pass

Most local sites say "dentist" and a phone number. They do not say which neighborhoods you cover, what a crown costs, how long a same-day appointment takes, or whether you take a given insurance, and those are the things people actually ask an AI. So we rewrite your service and location pages to say what you do, where, and for whom, in plain text an engine can quote.

Then come the new pages. We research the questions people in your area ask, and each month the platform finds the question you are losing worst and drafts the answer. A person on our team edits it, and we publish it on your site. Prices, timelines, what to expect, which areas you cover: one page per question you are losing.

What stays with you

You give us access once, on the onboarding call, and approve the plan we propose. After that the to-do list is ours, and the monthly call is where you see what shipped.

When someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini, or Google AI for the best option nearby, the answer names two or three businesses. Managed GEO makes yours one of them.
